FD12 To Offer ‘Christmas In The Firehouse’ On Saturday

Fire District 12 will continue its annual “Christmas in the Firehouse” tradition this Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the main station, 19375 Highway 36.
The annual event, a favorite for local families, will feature children’s activities and photo ops with Santa Claus. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own cameras to take pictures of children with Santa, since a photographer will not be provided.
In addition to food, fun and games, the event will include home fire safety instruction for kids, including an interactive model home for a demonstration. Video from a recent Christmas Tree burning demonstration has been incorporated into a fire safety presentation for adults, too.
“Community outreach is one of the most important functions we perform,” said FD12 Chief Darrell Guilott, “and ‘Christmas at the Firehouse’ has been a mainstay of our programming for many years. We look forward to another successful event, and invite everyone in the community to come enjoy the day.”
